ZATCA Urges Businesses to Submit VAT Returns for September, Q3 2025
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has called on business establishments subject to value-added tax (VAT) with annual supplies exceeding SAR40 million to submit their VAT returns for September, while those with supplies below that threshold must file for the third quarter of 2025 by October 31.
ZATCA urged all taxpayers to promptly submit their returns through its website at zatca.gov.sa or via the official smartphone app to avoid late-filing penalties, which range from 5% to 25% of the tax due.
The authority also invited business taxpayers seeking more information about VAT to contact its 24-hour call center at 19993, reach out through its X platform account at @Zatca_Care, send an email to info@zatca.gov.sa, or use the live chat feature available on its website.
VAT is one of the indirect tax systems in force in the Kingdom, applied to most goods and services bought and sold by businesses, with certain exemptions.
