Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Climbs in THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026
Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University achieved strong results in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026, with the number of its disciplines listed rising to eight, compared to six in the 2025 ranking, reflecting rapid development in the university’s academic and research performance.
The university also achieved notable excellence in scientific research strength across most fields compared to the global average. It further recorded distinguished citation impact in medicine, public health, life sciences, and social sciences, boosting its academic and research standing locally and internationally.
University President Dr. Ahmed Al-Amiri stressed that this academic progress in THE rankings underscores the excellence achieved by the university across both scientific and Sharia disciplines, noting that it motivates further distinction and continued efforts to achieve its goals.
