SAR Launches Eighth Round of Railway Safety Awareness Campaign

Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR) launched the eighth round of its field safety awareness campaign today, which began in Dumat Al-Jandal Governorate and will run for three days.
The campaign forms part of SAR’s ongoing efforts to improve safety across the railway network and raise public awareness about the dangers of unauthorized crossings, highlighting the importance of following safe crossing procedures to protect lives and property.
SAR emphasized the importance of road users and communities near railway lines adhering to regulations and guidelines, warning that trespassing on railway property or making illegal crossings can result in penalties of up to SAR500,000, imprisonment for up to two years, or both.
SAR continues its efforts to enhance operational safety and promote a culture of safe crossings, in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
