Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project Reopens Historic Al-Duwaid Village Mosque

Al-Duwaid Village Mosque in Northern Borders Region, built 80 years ago, has been restored as part of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques, standing as a central landmark in Al-Duwaid, a village historically known for its commercial activity and one of the Kingdom’s oldest airports.

 The restoration increased the mosque's area from 137.5 to 156.01 square meters, with a total capacity for 54 worshippers, reviving its religious role after years of closure. The project emphasizes a balance between traditional architectural authenticity and modern technology, ensuring the mosque's sustainability while preserving its historical identity.

 Executed by specialized Saudi firms and engineers, the initiative aligns with Vision 2030 objectives to highlight the Kingdom's cultural and religious heritage.
