Elite Falcon Breeds Soar in Riyadh's Skies
The Saudi Falcons Club announced preparations for this year's flagship event, the International Falcon Breeders Auction, running August 05 to 25, at the club's headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.
The auction has become a premier destination for falconers worldwide, attracting participants seeking to buy, sell, or discover elite local and international breeding stock. The event's growing reputation stems from previous seasons' proven success and opportunities for knowledge exchange with leading global farms.
As a trusted international marketplace for falcon trading, the auction drives investment growth in the sector while cementing Saudi Arabia's leadership position in falconry. Registration remains open for farms globally, building on the remarkable success of the 2024 event.
Last year's auction featured 56 premier production farms—13 domestic and 43 international—with 866 falcons sold to buyers from 19 countries. Total sales exceeded SAR10,6 million, while more than 18,000 visitors attended the three-week event.
The 2024 auction produced several sales, including the highest-priced locally-bred falcon at SAR210,000 from Al-Aradi Production and Protection Center, and the most expensive international falcon at SAR400,000 from Pacific Northwest Falcons farm, in the United States.
Recognized as one of the world's largest specialized falcon auctions, the Malham event has created new investment opportunities in the falconry sector. The auction has particularly benefited local production farms, which have gained exposure to international best practices while contributing to the Kingdom's emergence as a global falconry destination.
