DRA Holds Training Program on Digital Market Regulation

In collaboration with Access Partnership, the Digital Regulatory Academy (DRA) held a training program on “Digital Market Regulation,” aimed at building human capacity. It sought to promote effective contributions to the development of digital markets and encourage fair competition and consumer protection through innovative regulations.

More than 35 professionals in public policy, regulatory law, economics, and engineering from 15 entities within the digital economy, space, and innovation ecosystems attended the four-day program, alongside members of the National Regulations Committee and service providers in the communications, space, and technology sectors.

The training covered key concepts, characteristics, and current challenges facing digital markets, such as market dominance, anti-competitive practices, and regulatory alternatives. It also focused on enhancing participants' skills in critical thinking, regulatory analysis, legislative drafting, as well as understanding dispute resolution mechanisms in digital markets and assessing their impact.

The program is part of the DRA's ongoing efforts to develop public policy and digital regulatory expertise and promote broader regulatory awareness. From its establishment in 2021 to the end of 2024, the academy delivered several training programs, benefiting over 1,406 individuals from both the public and private sectors.
