PIF and Formula E Expand Driving Force Online Education Platform

The Public Investment Fund (PIF), in partnership with Formula E, has launched an enhanced version of the Driving Force Presented by PIF educational platform, aimed at expanding online learning and making interactive educational content accessible to more young people worldwide, enabling them to explore the future of electric motorsport through science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Since its launch in April 2025, the program has reached 111,200 students at 1,100 schools in Saudi Arabia, the United States and the United Kingdom, including more than 4,500 students in Saudi Arabia. The program has delivered an integrated learning model comprising live workshops in Riyadh, Jeddah and several cities worldwide, as well as teaching content and lesson plans for educators and interactive learning materials through the online platform.

PIF and Formula E aim to further expand the platform and its content by holding additional workshops in cities across the Kingdom and enhancing online learning opportunities at home and in classrooms, giving young people broader opportunities to learn about and engage with the future of electric motorsport and sustainable mobility.

The enhanced platform provides tailored digital experiences for young people, parents and educators. It offers young people interactive challenges, quizzes, games and rewards designed to make STEM learning more engaging. Parents can access content to support their children’s interests and explore future career paths in mobility, while educators can access ready-to-use lesson plans and classroom activities.

The platform’s new content centers on Formula E’s recently unveiled GEN4 car, allowing users to engage more closely with Formula E racing while learning about the latest technologies, sustainability standards and their development. The platform’s content will be regularly updated to enhance the interactive and collaborative experience for young people, parents and educators worldwide.

PIF is a Principal Partner of Formula E as part of its commitment to supporting electric motorsport, sustainability and the future of mobility.

PIF Head of Corporate Brand Mohamed Al-Sayyad said Driving Force Presented by PIF was designed to inspire and empower young people and encourage innovation in the future of mobility, while developing the technical skills of Saudi talent in fields linked to future sectors. He noted that the program’s reach among thousands of students in Saudi Arabia and around the world during its first year reflects the impact of PIF’s partnerships and initiatives, adding that the expansion of the platform’s online learning capabilities forms part of PIF’s commitment to advancing electric motorsport and sustainable mobility in Saudi Arabia and globally.

Formula E Vice President of Sustainability Julia Palle said expanding the platform and updating its content in partnership with PIF aims to bridge professional electric motorsport and academic education and promote young people’s interest worldwide in STEM through an interactive learning experience that helps prepare the next generation for the future of innovation.
