Manga Productions Partners with Fonte to Feature Saudi Anime Characters on Product Packaging
Manga Productions, a subsidiary of Mohammed bin Salman Foundation “Misk,” announced in a press release today the signing of a licensing agreement with Masdar Al Hayat Food Industries (Fonte), a leading bakery products manufacturer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The agreement grants Fonte a non-exclusive license to use the intellectual property rights of Asateer2 Future’s Folktales characters.
The partnership enables Fonte to incorporate the series’ characters into the production, marketing, promotion, and distribution of its various products, including product packaging designs, strengthening consumer engagement with the series and adding value to local products.
Manga Productions CEO Dr. Essam Bukhary expressed his appreciation for the collaboration, saying: "We are pleased to partner with Fonte, a trusted national brand with a strong presence in the Saudi market. We believe that featuring Asateer2 Future’s Folktales characters on their products will enhance the consumer experience and bring Manga Productions’ content closer to families in their daily lives. We look forward to this partnership being a new step in expanding the reach of Saudi creative content locally and regionally."
Through this partnership, Manga Productions continues to expand the presence of Saudi creative content across commercial sectors, supporting the growth of local content creation and contributing to diverse and engaging experiences that deepen audience connection with Saudi creative storytelling. This includes the success of “Asateer2: Future’s Folktales,” which was broadcast across five continents and streamed on eight international platforms, garnering over 150 million views. The series also won the Saudi Media Forum Award for Best Media and Communication Campaign.
