Environment Vice Minister: Kingdom Climbs to 16th Place in Global Social Responsibility Ranking
Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Al-Mushaiti emphasized that the Kingdom has made remarkable global progress by rising to 16th place in the Social Responsibility Index, according to the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2024.
Speaking during the Environmental Social Responsibility Forum at the ministry in Riyadh, Al-Mushaiti noted that this advancement reflects integrated efforts to enhance the private sector's role in sustainable development.
Several participants underscored that social responsibility is no longer optional but a national necessity. They highlighted the ministry’s activation of social responsibility as a leading model for collaboration among government entities, the private sector, and the nonprofits in serving society and protecting the environment. This aligns with the Kingdom’s ambitious vision toward a sustainable and conscious future, as well as the growing focus on social responsibility under Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes empowering social responsibility and boosting partnerships across all sectors.
The annually organized Social Responsibility Forum is part of the ministry's ongoing commitment to fostering collaboration among all sectors to mobilize resources toward achieving national social responsibility goals, particularly within the ministry’s areas of expertise.
