Ramadan Fitness Surge: Athletes Adapt Routines for Fasting Month

During the holy month of Ramadan, there is a noticeable increase in gym activity across all age groups in Eastern Region. Many athletes have even integrated exercise into their daily Ramadan routines. Exercise habits during Ramadan can vary significantly. Some individuals prefer to work out during the daytime or in the evening, avoiding intense physical activity, especially in the morning or late afternoon. Others plan their exercise routines to include walking and other activities, along with maintaining a balanced diet throughout the day.

Hussain Al-Mohsen, a player for Al-Noor Club, shared that exercising during Ramadan requires a different approach. He begins his workouts two hours after Iftar. He emphasizes the importance of staying hydrated and consuming meals rich in protein and vitamins to replenish nutrients lost during the fasting hours.

Mustafa Al-Aliwat, another player for Al-Noor Club, also noted that exercising during Ramadan differs from regular days. He pointed out that the body needs larger quantities of fluids and a balanced diet, highlighting the importance of consuming nutritious fruits. Additionally, he mentioned that the team's participation in previous Ramadan tournaments involved matches held before Iftar, which required a different strategy for managing physical exertion while fasting.
