NWC Distributed Around 41 Million Cubic Meters of Water in Two Holy Mosques During Ramadan 1447 AH
The National Water Company (NWC) announced the distribution of around 41 million cubic meters of water in Makkah and Madinah during Ramadan 1447 AH. This was achieved through intelligent monitoring and oversight, supporting high-quality services for residents, visitors, and pilgrims.
The company distributed more than 22 million cubic meters through networks in Makkah and more than 18.9 million cubic meters in Madinah. It maintained 24-hour supply in central areas of both cities and ensured the readiness of its workforce and operations teams, supported by modern equipment. It also confirmed the readiness of filling stations to maintain uninterrupted supply.
NWC stated that it successfully implemented its operational plan through early planning, continuous monitoring, and a workforce of more than 2,700 employees. Teams operated around the clock through operation and maintenance centers in Makkah and Madinah to meet demand.
The company also prioritized wastewater treatment, processing more than 29.7 million cubic meters. This included 19.7 million cubic meters in Makkah and 10 million in Madinah through advanced treatment plants operating to international standards.
Efforts to ensure water quality were intensified, with central laboratories conducting more than 54,900 tests on water samples in Makkah and Madinah to verify compliance with international standards.
