Kazakh President Receives the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and Bestows Upon Him the State’s Highest Honor

His Excellency President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of the Republic of Kazakhstan received His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, at the Presidential Palace in Astana.

During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest. The President then conferred upon the Secretary General the state’s highest state decoration, the Dostyk Order, in recognition of his contributions to strengthening friendship among peoples, fostering cooperation among followers of different religions, and advancing interfaith relations in the service of understanding and religious peace.

Sheikh Al-Issa expressed his gratitude to the President for this honor, considering it a recognition of the MWL’s global efforts, inspired by its mission to embody the values of Islam and its call for coexistence and peace.
