Over Two Million Umrah Performers Benefit from Free ‘Tahallul’ Service at Grand Mosque
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque announced that more than two million pilgrims have benefited from the free “Tahallul” (ritual hair cutting) service at the Grand Mosque, available around the clock as part of the comprehensive facilities provided to Umrah performers during the Umrah season.
The authority noted that the service is offered to both men and women in the eastern courtyard of the Grand Mosque. It is carried out under the supervision of qualified and trained staff, following the highest standards of quality and safety to ensure efficiency and help Umrah performers complete their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
The service adheres to strict sterilization and hygiene protocols, using sterilized tools and precise health procedures to achieve optimal safety for pilgrims. The authority affirmed that the initiative reflects the wise leadership’s commitment to enhancing services at the Two Holy Mosques and fulfilling the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to improve the Umrah performers’ experience and provide a safe, integrated, and welcoming environment for worshippers from around the world.
