Global CSR Forum Concludes in Riyadh with over 3,000 Participants
The second edition of the Global CSR Forum concluded this evening, Tuesday, in Riyadh. The event was attended by a number of ministers, along with a select group of chief executives, experts, specialists, and decision-makers in the field of social responsibility at both the local and international levels.
Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed Al-Rajhi affirmed that the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the forum, and the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, embody the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening social responsibility, supporting innovation and dialogue, and advancing toward leadership in this field, in line with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030. Al-Rajhi noted that the forum has contributed to forging fruitful partnerships that open new horizons and create promising opportunities to enhance cooperation in social responsibility, thereby supporting efforts aimed at building a sustainable society and a more prosperous future.
In concluding the forum’s proceedings, the minister called on participants and attendees to continue dialogue and joint work in a manner that contributes to shaping a future based on sustainable practices and maximizing the impact of social responsibility.
Over the course of two days, the forum witnessed the participation of more than 3,000 attendees and over 100 speakers from around the world, across more than 40 specialized sessions and dialogues. Participants included government and executive leaders, investors, academics, experts, specialists, and representatives of civil society.
The forum’s agenda addressed six strategic pillars: strategy and integration; climate, nature, and just transition; workforce, talent management, and social impact; responsible innovation; digital transformation and corporate social responsibility; and governance, trust, and standards. It also featured a review of international experiences and practices aimed at moving social responsibility from commitment to the achievement of tangible, measurable impact.
Accompanying the forum was the Corporate Social Responsibility Award ceremony, which honored a number of companies that have successfully translated their commitments in this field into tangible and measurable results and impact, thereby strengthening effective institutional practices and consolidating a culture of impact measurement.
The forum comes within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance social responsibility and entrench its practices, in alignment with the targets of Saudi Vision 2030, and also reflects the Kingdom’s growing stature and role in supporting international dialogue and the exchange of expertise in this domain.
