Education Minister Sponsors Launch of 19th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness in Jeddah
Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan sponsored the launch of the 19th Asia-Pacific Conference on Giftedness 2026 at the University of Business and Technology in Jeddah, along with the unveiling of the first global index for assessing gifted care.
The opening ceremony was attended by more than 1,000 local and international creatives, gifted individuals, decision-makers, and education experts, with representatives from more than 40 countries. This participation reaffirmed the conference’s status as one of the world’s leading platforms specializing in gifted education and creativity.
The ceremony featured a documentary highlighting the Kingdom’s leadership in empowering gifted individuals, showcasing major national initiatives and achievements in this field. It also included a segment honoring male and female students of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) who have received international and local awards, reflecting the outcomes of investing in human potential.
The conference’s scientific sessions began yesterday, with the participation of a select group of Saudi and international speakers and distinguished attendance. The sessions, workshops, and accompanying seminars will continue until February 11, as part of a scientific and knowledge-driven movement that reinforces the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for giftedness and creativity and a leading platform for shaping the future of gifted education.
