SWA Distributes Over 5.5 Million Cubic Meters in Makkah and Holy Sites Since Beginning of Dhu Al-Hijjah
The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) announced that water distributed in Makkah and the holy sites from Dhu Al-Hijjah 1 to 7, 1447 AH exceeded 5.5 million cubic meters.
The distribution was carried out through an integrated system operating around the clock to serve pilgrims during the Hajj season.
The authority stated that water demand increased significantly with the arrival of pilgrims to the holy sites. On Dhu Al-Hijjah 7, water distribution reached 849,895 cubic meters, compared with 821,132 cubic meters on Dhu Al-Hijjah 6.
The figures reflect the high level of preparedness and operational flexibility of the supply system during peak periods.
On Dhu Al-Hijjah 7, technical and laboratory teams conducted more than 4,288 laboratory tests across various operational sites to ensure water quality and safety in accordance with the highest operational and health standards.
The water system continues operating in coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the reliability of water services in Makkah and the holy sites.
The efforts also help enable pilgrims to perform rituals with ease and tranquility.
