GCC Cybersecurity Executive Committee Holds Fourth Meeting

The cybersecurity executive committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held its fourth meeting in Kuwait, with deputies and officials from member states’ cybersecurity authorities in attendance. Representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was Deputy Governor of the Strategy and International Cooperation Sector at the National Cybersecurity Authority Abdurahman Al Hassan.

 The meeting covered a range of topics regarding cybersecurity collaboration across GCC states. Key discussions included progress on the cyber threat information sharing platform, a project led by Saudi Arabia in partnership with the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE) and the Global Cybersecurity Forum organization.

 Among the meeting’s outcomes was the approval of Saudi Arabia’s proposed framework for international cooperation among GCC countries in cybersecurity. Additionally, the executive plan for the Gulf cybersecurity strategy was ratified, and its initiatives officially launched.
