Parks, Gardens in Al-Jouf Attract Youth During Pleasant Evenings
Parks, gardens, and public seating areas across Al-Jouf region are witnessing an influx of visitors of all ages, especially during the evenings as temperatures drop and the cool breeze enhances the outdoor experience. The green spaces, expanded and maintained by Al-Jouf Municipality, have become popular spots for young people to spend their evenings.
Orns Al-Ruwaili, a young resident of Sakaka, noted that he and his friends often gather at local parks and gardens during the week, drawn by the mild weather, ample green spaces, seating areas, and available amenities such as restrooms and parking, all of which make for an enjoyable outdoor experience.
Al-Jouf region is home to 132 parks and gardens, covering more than 2 million square meters of green space. The municipality and its affiliated local authorities are actively working to maintain and upgrade these sites year-round. Facilities include restrooms, seating areas, and children's play areas. The parks also feature walking and cycling paths for sports enthusiasts, while restaurants, cafés, and food trucks are available to serve visitors.
