Transport Minister Launches Campaign to Survey Road Network Outside Urban Areas

 Minister of Transport and Logistic Services and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Roads General Authority (RGA) Saleh Al-Jasser launched the sixth edition of the "distinct and safe roads" campaign today, organized by the RGA. This campaign aims to survey and evaluate the road network outside urban areas.
 This campaign, along with strategic projects and initiatives, has contributed to reducing road fatalities by nearly 60% and has propelled the Kingdom to fourth place among G20 countries in the Road Quality Index.
 The minister also introduced a package of advanced technologies being used for the first time in this campaign, ensuring accurate results integrated with Geographic Information Systems without disrupting traffic flow.
 The authority encouraged road users to participate in the campaign via the call center (938), mobile app, phone, or social media, highlighting their key role in reporting observations and enhancing the nation’s vital road network.
