Third Edition of Unaizah Camel Auction Concludes

The third edition of the Unaizah Camel Auction concluded yesterday, fostering vibrant commercial and cultural activity among camel owners, breeders, enthusiasts, and visitors.

The event drew more than 25,000 visitors, with auction rings featuring over 100 camels daily, underscoring growing public and commercial interest in safeguarding the Kingdom's cultural heritage.

Covering approximately 1.2 million square meters at the junction of King Fahd Road and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road in Unaizah Governorate, the venue featured designated auction rings, visitor service facilities, and an exhibition of 26 camel sculptures distributed throughout the district.

The auction also empowered 30 families working in the cottage industry with dedicated commercial spaces to market local goods, stimulating trade and broadening the economic returns of heritage tourism.

The event forms part of wider initiatives to preserve Saudi camel heritage, expand economic and cultural activities across Unaizah Governorate, and foster opportunities for local entrepreneurs and small businesses.
