KSrelief Concludes Volunteer Open-Heart Surgery Project in Jakarta
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) concluded the open-heart surgery medical project in Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia, implemented from February 1 to 8, with the participation of 20 volunteers from various medical specialties.
During the campaign, the volunteer team performed 31 open-heart surgeries and four high-tech transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedures, all of which were successful. It also conducted four training courses that benefited 250 medical personnel.
The initiative comes as part of the volunteer medical projects provided by the Kingdom, through its humanitarian arm KSrelief, to assist patients in countries and communities in need around the world.
