KSrelief Supervisor-General Launches Saudi Virtual Volunteer Program in Syria
Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor-General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah launched at the center’s headquarters in Riyadh the Saudi Virtual Volunteer Program in Syria via videoconference.
Al Rabeeah said the launch reflects KSrelief’s institutional approach, with its volunteer initiatives exceeding 1,300 programs. He noted that the program is supported by the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He added that KSrelief designed the program to support sustainable knowledge transfer and capacity building. It includes 53 volunteer projects across four main tracks, covering 239 specialized fields aligned with the priorities of the Syrian Ministry of Health.
For his part, Minister of Health of the Syrian Arab Republic Dr. Musaab Nazzal Al-Ali expressed appreciation for the initiative. He highlighted the importance of investing in healthcare personnel, particularly nursing and technical staff, to strengthen primary healthcare services.
The first phase includes 15 projects and specialized lectures in health and medical fields, benefiting 18,210 individuals.
The program aims to enhance the capabilities of healthcare personnel through advanced training delivered by qualified volunteers, contributing to improved service quality and institutional readiness.
