KSrelief Medical Team Sets World Record by Implanting 42 Cochlear Devices in 14 Hours in Türkiye’s Reyhanli
The volunteer medical team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) set an unprecedented world record by implanting 42 cochlear devices in 14 hours as part of the "Saudi Sama’a" Volunteer Program for Cochlear Implantation and Hearing Rehabilitation in Reyhanli, Türkiye, which ran from October 31 to November 6.
During the campaign, the volunteer medical team has successfully implanted a total of 122 cochlear devices for children, with a gender distribution of 51% male and 49% female, achieving complete success in all cases.
The initiative is a continuation of the Kingdom’s commitment to providing free medical projects through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to assist people and nations in need around the world.
