Saudi Broadcasting Authority Secures Rights to 'The 1% Club' for First Arabic Adaptation

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) announced it has secured rights from BBC Studios to produce the first Arabic adaptation of the globally popular game show "The 1% Club." The show will make its regional debut under the title "1% Challenge" on SBC, with registration now open for contestants seeking to compete for a cash prize of up to SAR250,000.

The Arabic adaptation follows the show's international success. Originally launched in the United Kingdom, the format has expanded to 15 markets, including the United States, Australia, France, Germany, and Spain, with Italy and Sweden recently joining the list of international adaptations.

Unlike traditional general knowledge quiz shows, 1% Challenge focuses on logical thinking, observation, analysis, and deduction. The competition brings together 100 contestants who answer a series of increasingly difficult questions, culminating in a final challenge featuring a question that only 1% of a test sample answered correctly.

The show allows contestants to demonstrate their cognitive skills and compete for the cash prize. It also encourages viewers to test their abilities and compare their answers with the contestants', creating an atmosphere of excitement and suspense.

The authority invited individuals aged 18 and above to register before the application deadline on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, through the following link: https://form.typeform.com/to/L17R5OJk.
