The first edition of Saudi Water Week concluded successfully in Jeddah, with broad international participation from more than 80 countries, 20 ministerial delegations, over 2,500 participants, and 180 international experts and speakers. The event included 97 specialized sessions and activities, along with 20 participating pavilions.

The event represents a strategic milestone in leading global efforts in the water sector and establishing a comprehensive roadmap toward “Road to Riyadh 2027,” which will culminate in the Kingdom hosting the 11th World Water Forum under an integrated vision that promotes solutions and shapes the future of water through dialogue, knowledge, and partnerships.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture stated that the week served as a model platform for knowledge exchange and partnership-building among policymakers, experts, and stakeholders from Saudi Arabia, the Arab region, and around the world. Discussions focused on key water challenges, including reducing water waste, improving efficiency, and exploring future opportunities to enhance water security and sustainability.

The program also featured intensive scientific, technical, and policy engagement, including consultative meetings for the 11th World Water Forum and the seventh Arab Water Forum. Workshops and dialogue sessions contributed to advancing initiatives in water security, governance, financing, innovation, integrated water resources management, and youth engagement, helping translate ideas into actionable strategies.

The ministry highlighted the strong positive feedback on the event’s organization, noting that it successfully integrated multiple forums into a unified platform that strengthened political and technical dialogue and advanced preparations for hosting the global forum in Riyadh in 2027.
