Prosthetics Center in Taiz Serves 8,050 Beneficiaries with Support from KSrelief
As part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts to support the Yemenis and alleviate their suffering, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) implemented the eighth phase of its project to operate the Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz Governorate from January 1 to May 31, 2026. The project aims to provide prosthetic limbs and physical rehabilitation services for patients with various mobility impairments.
Over the past 12 months, the project manufactured 300 new upper- and lower-limb prostheses, provided physical rehabilitation services to 3,900 beneficiaries, and delivered technical rehabilitation and maintenance services to 700 beneficiaries. It also offered medical and technical consultations to 3,100 beneficiaries, enhancing access to comprehensive rehabilitation services.
The project also created 50 employment opportunities for local staff, bringing the total number of beneficiaries served to 8,050. This contributes to strengthening the sustainability of rehabilitation services and improving the quality and efficiency of care provided to beneficiaries.
These efforts are part of Saudi Arabia's humanitarian support, delivered through KSrelief, to strengthen healthcare and rehabilitation services for patients, the injured, and people with disabilities in Yemen.
