Ministry of Interior Introduces Flexible Quarterly Residency Permits for Domestic Workers
The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Passports, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, has begun issuing and renewing residency permits for domestic workers for minimum periods of three months, allowing employers to pay fees on a quarterly basis.
The decision enables employers to pay fees for the selected period only when issuing or renewing permits for three months or its multiples, providing greater flexibility in managing their obligations.
The initiative reflects ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of residency services and improve the beneficiary experience as part of the digital transformation journey.
