Financial Academy Launches Bloomberg Finance Lab, Finance Pathways in Riyadh

The Financial Academy, in cooperation with Bloomberg, has inaugurated the Bloomberg Finance Lab at the academy's headquarters in King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh and launched the Bloomberg Finance Pathways program to provide financial sector specialists and students with hands-on access to the latest technologies and global capital market guidance programs.

The launch builds on the memorandum of understanding signed between the Financial Academy and Bloomberg in October 2025 and supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030's Financial Sector Development Program and Human Capability Development Program.

The Bloomberg Finance Pathways program marks the initiative's first regional expansion in the Middle East, connecting talented students with mentors and leaders from the public and private sectors. Since its launch in 2022, the program has reached more than 2,500 students across 15 countries.

Chief of Capacity Development at the Financial Academy Mohammed Alhamazany said the lab and program represent a qualitative step toward empowering national cadres and equipping financial sector practitioners with the latest analytical tools, data, and educational opportunities, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application to develop a new generation of financial leaders.

Bloomberg's Head of Europe, Middle East and Africa Business Michelle Bennett said the lab will connect Bloomberg's education platform with the Financial Academy's training curricula, helping close the gap between academic achievement and market readiness while enhancing technical competency across Saudi Arabia's financial sector.
