Industry Ministry Establishes Non-Profit Furniture Manufacturers Association
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has announced the establishment of the non-profit furniture manufacturers association to enhance the Kingdom’s furniture industry and improve its regional and global competitiveness. This initiative was revealed at the fourth Public Investment Fund (PIF) Private Sector Forum in Riyadh.
The association will promote innovation and educate local factories on best practices and advanced manufacturing technologies. Its goals include improving product quality, developing human capital, enhancing communication between manufacturers and decision-makers, and organizing specialized furniture exhibitions.
As of November 2025, the Kingdom had 1,298 licensed furniture factories, with a total investment of SAR13.3 billion and 73,211 employees. Riyadh Region leads with 677 factories, followed by Eastern Region with 287 and Makkah with 152.
This association reflects the ministry's commitment to empowering the non-profit sector and boosting its contribution to national GDP in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
