King Abdulaziz International Airport Sets Record with over 49 Million Passengers in 2024
King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah has achieved a groundbreaking milestone, recording the highest annual operational figure in Saudi airports history. The airport served over 49.1 million passengers in 2024, representing a 14% growth compared to 2023.
The airport recorded a significant increase in total flights, exceeding 278,000—an 11% rise from the previous year. It also handled 47.1 million bags, reflecting a 21% growth compared to 2023.
Jeddah Airports Company CEO Mazen Johar credited the increase in numbers to the airport's rapid operational growth, driven by the guidance of the Kingdom's leadership and the diligent oversight of the transport sector's authorities.
