India Showcases Handicraft Heritage at INDEX Saudi Arabia
India is participating with a pavilion at INDEX Saudi Arabia, held from September 9 to 11, 2025, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, an interactive session titled "India: The Ideal Destination for Handicraft Sourcing" was organized, during which Ambassador of India to the Kingdom Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan highlighted India’s handicraft sector. He noted that this participation comes in cooperation with the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and the Indian Ministry of Textiles.
The Indian pavilion at INDEX Saudi Arabia features handicraft exporters, showcasing the country’s rich artisanal heritage through live demonstrations of traditional crafts. These include metal engraving, clay crafts, coconut shell crafts, Kantha embroidery, and handicrafts made from natural fibers.
