Mahd Sports Academy to Introduce ‘Best Assist’ Award in Globe Soccer Awards
In a move reflecting its commitment to promoting football excellence, Mahd Sports Academy announced that the "Best Assist" award, first introduced in 2025, will be included in the Globe Soccer Awards starting this year. The award celebrates creativity and teamwork, highlighting the critical role of players who set up decisive goals.
The inaugural edition recognized Barcelona’s Jules Koundé for his decisive assist against Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final held in Jeddah. Al-Nassr’s Nawaf Boushal won the first local edition after providing the assist for Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal against Al-Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League (Roshn League).
This year, Napoli’s Leonardo Spinazzola was honored for his assist in the Italian Super Cup semi-final against AC Milan, while Barcelona’s Pedri Gonzلlez earned the award following a remarkable assist in the Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid in Jeddah.
Building on the award’s success, Globe Soccer has now adopted the “Best Assist” category under the supervision of Mahd Sports Academy. This move reflects the award’s growing prestige and underscores the academy’s role in advancing technical appreciation in football while contributing to the development of the international sports landscape.
