KSrelief Launches Third Phase of 2025 Food Security Project in Pakistan

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has launched the third phase of its 2025 Food Security Support Project in Pakistan.

The launch ceremony took place yesterday at the Saudi Embassy in Islamabad, in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Malki, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain, and several officials.

Ambassador Al-Malki stated that the project reflects the directives of the Saudi leadership and its continued support for the people of Pakistan. It is part of a series of initiatives implemented by KSrelief to assist vulnerable families, particularly those affected by floods across the country, the Ambassador added.

He also added that the project involves distributing more than 30,000 food baskets across various regions of Pakistan. Each basket contains essential food items sufficient to support a family for one month, benefiting a total of 210,000 individuals.

In a statement, Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain expressed gratitude on behalf of the Pakistani government and people to the leadership and government of Saudi Arabia for their ongoing humanitarian assistance to those affected in Pakistan.
