NCW, Qiddiya Investment Company Release Wildlife Species in Ibex Reserve
The National Center for Wildlife (NCW), in cooperation with Qiddiya Investment Company, released today wildlife species into the Ibex Reserve after relocating them from the Qiddiya City project area, as part of joint national efforts to preserve biodiversity and align developmental projects with environmental sustainability requirements.
The release took place in an environment similar to the species' natural habitat, contributing to ecological balance and the reintroduction of native species. The initiative reflects effective collaboration between the environmental sector and major development projects in the Kingdom, in support of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative, which aim to conserve and sustain natural resources.
NCW noted that the relocation and release process was carried out based on precise scientific and environmental studies to ensure successful reintroduction and the preservation of ecosystems, while providing a safe and suitable habitat for the species to fulfill their ecological roles.
The center added that this cooperation embodies the integration of efforts between government entities and the private sector to support environmental sustainability and protect biodiversity in the Kingdom.
