Najran Leads Agricultural Transformation with Modern Tech, Sustainable Practices
Najran Region is undergoing a major agricultural transformation driven by smart farming technologies and sustainable resource management, currently hosting over 4,400 greenhouses spanning 350 hectares to ensure year-round production and enhanced food security.
Key to this growth is the expansion of drip irrigation across 5,000 hectares, significantly reducing water waste while optimizing crop yields. In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture is empowering local farmers through training in organic fertilizers and AI-driven systems.
By integrating modern innovation with traditional expertise, Najran is effectively mitigating climatic challenges and establishing itself as a key economic pillar of the Kingdom’s domestic food supply.
