Yanbu General Hospital Receives Baby-Friendly Accreditation from UNICEF
Yanbu General Hospital has been awarded the Baby-Friendly Hospital accreditation by UNICEF after completing the assessment for the Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative.
The Madinah Health Cluster noted that the accreditation meets World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF standards, supported by the Ministry of Health’s Breastfeeding Encouragement Campaign.
This recognition highlights Yanbu General Hospital's commitment to creating a supportive breastfeeding environment and adhering to international best practices in maternal and newborn care, thereby enhancing children's health and improving healthcare quality.
The Baby-Friendly accreditation is an international certification for facilities that excel in promoting breastfeeding, crucial for improving maternal and child health and reducing early childhood nutrition-related diseases.
