Tourism Ministry: Licensed Hospitality Facilities Grow by 80% in Makkah

The Ministry of Tourism has announced that more than 1,000 hospitality facilities in Makkah were licensed by the end of 2024, registering an 80% growth compared to 2023 and achieving the highest number of licensed facilities and rooms in the Kingdom.
 The ministry is committed to safeguarding the rights of visitors and Umrah performers using hospitality services in Makkah, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of services. The ministry’s inspection teams conduct regular monitoring and inspection visits throughout the year to ensure that all facilities comply with licensing requirements, detect violations, and impose fines under the Tourism Law and Regulations of Tourist Accommodation Facilities.
 The continuous growth in hospitality facility licenses in Makkah is attributed to the ministry’s ongoing campaigns to ensure the quality of services provided by hospitality operators and tourism businesses.
