Al-Baha University Records 1,905 International Studies, 1,631 Citations in 2025
The Deanship of Innovation and Scientific Research at Al-Baha University recorded notable achievements in 2025, boosting the university’s position as a national contributor to research and innovation, as well as an active driver within the knowledge ecosystem.
Statistics showed that 885 scientific studies were indexed in the Web of Science databases, while 1,020 studies were indexed in Scopus during the same year. According to the Scopus database, the number of citations of research produced by the university’s faculty members reached approximately 1,631, reflecting the growing scientific impact of the university’s research output at both the regional and international levels.
In terms of research infrastructure, the university includes five central research laboratories and four specialized research centers, which have contributed to supporting researchers and enabling them to carry out high-quality research projects across various disciplines. This is in addition to the supervision of 212 male and female scholarship students inside and outside the Kingdom within postgraduate programs.
Al-Baha University stressed that these achievements come as an extension of the wise leadership’s support for the education, research, and innovation ecosystem, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to build a competitive knowledge-based economy and enhance the status of Saudi universities in global research excellence and ranking indicators.
