Ancient Egyptian Tombs, Artifacts Unearthed Near Ramesseum Temple

The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has announced a new archaeological discovery near the Ramesseum Temple on Luxor's West Bank, where excavations uncovered a collection of tombs from the Third Intermediate Period of ancient Egypt, along with storage facilities for olive oil, honey, and fats, as well as workshops for textiles, stonework, kitchens, and bakeries.

 According to the ministry, the joint Egyptian-French archaeological mission at the Ramesseum Temple unearthed the architectural plan of the "House of Life," an ancient educational institution attached to major temples. The mission also found artifacts, including remnants of drawings and school games.

 Moreover, excavations in the northeastern area uncovered numerous tombs containing burial chambers and shafts with well-preserved canopic utensils and funerary tools. Additionally, nested caskets and 401 statues were discovered.
