Industry and Mineral Resources Ministry Issues over 46,000 Certificates of Origin in January 2026

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources issued 46,871 certificates of origin in January 2026, as part of its efforts to support exporters and facilitate services across industrial, commercial, and individual sectors.
Official ministry spokesperson Jarrah bin Mohammed Al-Jarrah stated that the certificate of origin is an official document confirming that exported products are of national origin or have acquired national origin status. The service targets industrial establishments, companies, and commercial institutions, as well as individuals, including farmers, fishermen, sole proprietors, and local artisans.
He explained that the certificate is issued in four types: a certificate of origin for national products of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries; a certificate of origin for national products of other Arab countries; a preferential certificate of origin under the unified GCC model for exports to countries and economic blocs with which free trade agreements have been concluded; and a general certificate of origin issued in Arabic and English for countries that do not grant preferential treatment.
The spokesperson noted that applications for certificates of origin can be submitted electronically through the ministry’s website at https://mim.gov.sa/services/31387/.
