Jeddah Book Fair Concludes with over 650,000 Visitors
The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission has concluded the Jeddah Book Fair 2025, held from December 11 to 20. The event marked the end of a 10-day knowledge journey, hosting over 1,000 local, Arab, and international publishing houses from 24 countries with more than 400 pavilions.
This year, the fair attracted over 650,000 visitors and featured approximately 195,000 titles across various genres and languages. It included more than 176 cultural activities for all ages and interests.
In a significant development, the fair introduced Saudi film screenings to support local storytelling, receiving enthusiastic responses. Seminars and workshops with prominent writers addressed contemporary literary topics.
Moreover, the book signing platform celebrated new works by Saudi authors, while a dedicated children's zone engaged families with interactive educational programs.
The success of the fair reflects the commission’s 2020–2025 strategy to empower the publishing industry, raise cultural awareness, and support economic growth in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
