Saudi RPM Deploys 6,000 Medical Personnel and 300 Ambulances to Serve Pilgrims in the Holy Sites
Saudi Response Plus Medical (Saudi RPM), the leading pre-hospital emergency medical services provider in the region, has enhanced its operational readiness for the 2026 (1447 AH) Hajj season, in collaboration with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, through an integrated ambulance and medical system to support health and emergency services for pilgrims at the Holy Sites.
Saudi RPM has mobilized more than 6,000 specialized medical personnel, including doctors, paramedics, nurses, and rapid response teams, along with more than 300 ambulances and emergency vehicles equipped with the latest technologies, to provide pre-hospital emergency medical care during the Hajj season.
The preparations include an advanced emergency network for the medical evacuation of critical cases, as well as field ambulance teams trained to manage crowd density and congestion in the Holy Sites, thereby supporting rapid response and increasing the efficiency of field interventions.
Saudi RPM is also connected to a 24/7 Command and Control Center with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority to monitor emergencies. The center is supported by instant dispatch systems, GPS tracking, and telemedicine services, aimed at enhancing field coordination and ensuring rapid response to reports and critical cases during the Hajj season.
The company’s ambulance teams and rapid response units have been deployed throughout the Grand Mosque, its courtyards, and expansion areas, as well as in the holy sites of Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, and along transit routes and stations, to ensure swift access to emergency cases and the provision of necessary care.
As part of its efforts to enhance preventive and emergency healthcare, Saudi RPM has launched several initiatives specifically for pilgrims most vulnerable to health complications. These initiatives include medical follow-up for pilgrims with chronic illnesses before, during, and after performing the Hajj rituals.
This is part of broader efforts to support the private healthcare sector’s participation in the Hajj health system and enhance integration with relevant entities to improve the quality and efficiency of ambulance and medical services provided to pilgrims, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Notably, Saudi RPM specializes in ambulance services, hospitals, field clinics, and urgent care. It also operates air and sea ambulance systems and a fleet of ambulances equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technologies.
Saudi RPM relies on specialized and highly trained medical and ambulance personnel to handle various critical and complex emergencies. It implements modern operating and response systems that contribute to reducing response times and increasing the efficiency of field operations, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided at worksites and during major seasons, most notably the Hajj season.
