Fashion Commission Signs MoU to Launch 'Fashion District' at Real Estate Future Forum

The Saudi Fashion Commission signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Four Directions Real Estate Development Company on the sidelines of the fifth edition of the Real Estate Future Forum, to launch the “Fashion District” as an integrated urban destination dedicated to the fashion sector. The initiative aims to empower creative industries and strengthen Riyadh’s position as a regional and global hub for the cultural economy.

The Fashion District is a strategic project designed to develop the fashion ecosystem by covering the entire value chain, from design, production, and training to showcases and retail. It will include world-class fashion show venues, design and creative production studios, spaces for incubating talent and brands, as well as hospitality facilities and workspaces. The project is expected to enhance investment attractiveness and keep pace with the sector’s growth locally and internationally.

Chief Executive Officer of the Fashion Commission Burak Cakmak said the Fashion District is not merely an urban development project, but rather an integrated ecosystem that supports the fashion value chain, opens new horizons for creativity and investment, and reinforces Riyadh’s position as a global hub for the cultural economy.

Co-founder and chief executive of Four Directions Real Estate Development Company Mohammed Alzarah said the MoU reflects the company’s vision of developing urban destinations with strong economic and cultural value. He noted that the partnership contributes to transforming culture into a sustainable industry, supporting the creative economy, and enhancing Riyadh’s profile as a global city for culture and design.

This cooperation comes as part of the Fashion Commission’s efforts to boost investment and partnerships in the fashion sector by launching high-impact projects that help create an enabling environment for growth, expand education and training opportunities, and provide platforms for fashion showcases and design, opening new prospects for investors.
