Health Ministry Launches Vaccination Campaign for 1447 AH Hajj Season
The Ministry of Health has called on individuals planning to perform Hajj from within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 1447 AH season to receive the necessary vaccinations to promote preventive healthcare and ensure pilgrims’ safety, enabling them to perform their rituals in good health and with peace of mind.
The ministry explained that the meningococcal vaccine is mandatory for all prospective pilgrims and healthcare workers who have not received a dose within the past five years. Additionally, it recommended receiving the seasonal flu vaccine if not administered after September 1, 2025, and the COVID-19 vaccine if not received since January 1, 2025.
To facilitate this process, the ministry urged all those wishing to perform Hajj, along with participating healthcare practitioners, to verify their vaccination status and book appointments through the Sehhaty application at designated adult vaccination clinics. This proactive measure aligns with the ministry’s strategic objectives to strengthen preventive healthcare and safeguard the well-being of all participants during the Hajj season.
